Inprocess and AspenTech decided to share the ownership of Inprocess OTS Instructor Station software (IIS)

With this agreement, Inprocess will reinforce its OTS services on offer to its process simulation customer base by applying Aspen HYSYS, the most-used dynamic process simulation technology, as OTS engine, as well as strengthening its unique positioning in delivering project lifecycle simulation (from FEED to plant operation) to the oil & gas, refining and petrochemicals industry. Through its services and technology, Inprocess is already well known for providing high value added in implementing this approach. The agreement will enable Inprocess to spread those benefits to a wider community of owner-operators and EPCs that are seeking to further improve their operational or project efficiency.

The vast range of Inprocess experience in deploying OTSs has been collected into the Instructor Station which provides the end-user environment for plant operators and training instructors. It connects dynamic process simulators to the various process control systems that may be used in the real plant.
