IPSA: Pressure Swing Adsorption Dynamic Simulator

Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) is a widely used high-capacity process to produce pure gases. One of the main applications of PSA is hydrogen purification from hydrogen plants or hydrogen-rich refinery and petrochemical streams.

Using the numerical integration method of lines, the Inprocess PSA simulator resolves, along bed length and time, the balances for mass, energy and momentum in columns working in PSA cycles. The adsorption equilibrium and the mass transfer equations are coupled with the conservation equations in all cycle steps.
