| Inprocess developed a steady state crude unit model with pre-heat train for this refinery. The pre-heat train model can be manually updated from plant data and pre-heat train monitoring is supported. As part of the KIP, refinery process engineering team was trained in maintaining the model and using the complex model for different case studies - like predicting the pre-heat train performance after cleaning a specific heat exchanger |

Engineering Operator Equipment Manufacturer
|
| In 2009, Inprocess carried out many in-house and public training courses, teaching more than 390 engineers at different levels. Inprocess introduced seven new training courses, e.g. the new intermediate and advanced process simulation courses with focus on specific industry segments like Natural Gas Processing, Oil Refining and Oil & Gas. |

Conceptual dynamic simulation study to determine the flare load of a crude unit during a general power failure and a water breakthrough. The conceptual dynamic study approach allows for reduced detail and, therefore, reduced cost, while maintaining the possibility to consider dynamic phenomena in the analysis.

| In 2008, Inprocess carried out a substantial number of in-house and public training courses, teaching more than 240 engineers at different levels. Inprocess introduced four new training courses, e.g. the new training course that covers the application of process simulation to model LNG processes. In addition to the new training courses, Inprocess also updated all previously developed material to include the feedback that we received from our attendees |

Inprocess Knowledge Improvement Programme (KIP) for Process Simulation of Crude and Vacuum Unit. Inprocess developed a steady state HYSYS model for the client and trained the client's engineers in using and maintaining the model. One example of the case studies developed was related to the operation of the column with reduced condenser duty.

Dynamic Simulation Project for Foster Wheeler Italy. Inprocess developed a number of dynamic models for different distillation columns to study the flare behaviour for general power failure. The intention was to study the simultaneity of the flare load peaks.
This study was presented at the 2008 AspenTech UGM. |
