Petrochemicals
In the petrochemical industry process simulation is used for the design and re-design of process units and their auxiliary systems. Other applications include the use of process models at the core of a real-time optimisation system (RTO) and, more recently, the use of dynamic process simulation for Advanced Process Control (APC), where the time for step testing is significantly reduced by partly step-testing the dynamic process model instead of the real unit.

Process Simulation for Petrochemicals - Introductory Training
2008/2010 Germany Petrochemicals Operator
2 x Introductory Process Simulation Training based on Inprocess' new Petrochemical Training Material & Advanced Expert Workshop
ITOP Operator Training Programme
2008 Spain Petrochemicals Operator
ITOP = Inprocess Training for Operators.
Dynamic Simulation Models are used to support an Operator Training Programme with the focus on Process Engineering Basics and Unit Operations. The success of the training programme was primarily based on three aspects: a) the PC-based exercises used for the training provided motivation for the operator to participate in the training, b) the theoretical, but still practical content was agreed with our customer prior to the training ensuring its relevance and c) Inprocess' experienced instructors.
2009 TRAINING UPDATE
2009 Various Petrochemicals Engineering
Operator
Equipment Manufacturer
In 2009, Inprocess carried out many in-house and public training courses, teaching more than 390 engineers at different levels. Inprocess introduced seven new training courses, e.g. the new intermediate and advanced process simulation courses with focus on specific industry segments like “Natural Gas Processing”, “Oil Refining” and “Oil & Gas.”
2008 TRAINING UPDATE
2008 Various Petrochemicals Engineering
Operator
Equipment Manufacturer
In 2008, Inprocess carried out a substantial number of in-house and public training courses, teaching more than 240 engineers at different levels. Inprocess introduced four new training courses, e.g. the new training course that covers the application of process simulation to model LNG processes. In addition to the new training courses, Inprocess also updated all previously developed material to include the feedback that we received from our attendees
