Engineering
Many process engineering departments use HYSYS and Unisim for process simulation to support the design and re-design of process and utility plants. Inprocess has been developing Training Programs to deploy simulation know-how among all engineers of an EPC, working as a subcontractor to supply expert studies (such as Dynamic Process Simulation Studies) and working together with our EPC customers to find new areas to apply simulation, adding additional value to EPC Services.  Engineering Companies expects maximum reliability from their subcontractors. Our expertise helps eliminate the risks of unexpected performance issues when developing modelling projects for EPCs.

Gas Dissolution in MOL line (OLGA Pipeline Study)
2010 Spain Oil & Gas
Engineering
Transient analysis using OLGA to study gas dissolution and flow assurance after gas injection in a transportation oil pipeline.
Flow Assurance in Transfer Lines (OLGA Pipeline Study)
2010 Spain Oil & Gas
Engineering
Flow assurance study using OLGA for 3 transfer lines to evaluate slugging, surge, hydrates, etc. during different initial and operation conditions (ramp-up, ramp-down, pigging, etc.).
Dynamic Compressor Study
2009 UK Oil & Gas
Engineering
Dynamic Process Simulation Compressor Study for a new off-shore platform. The study focusses on the operability and controllability issues of the complex four stage compression train as well as on safety issues.
Training programme
2010 Spain Oil & Gas
Engineering
Training Programme based on a number of training sessions to be executed in parallel to the execution of a dynamic simulation study in order to effectively deliver dynamic simulation know-how: The combination of Training Simulation Services is called Inprocess Knowledge Improvement Programme (KIP).
2009 TRAINING UPDATE
2009 Various Oil & Gas

Equipment Manufacturer
In 2009, Inprocess carried out many in-house and public training courses, teaching more than 390 engineers at different levels. Inprocess introduced seven new training courses, e.g. the new intermediate and advanced process simulation courses with focus on specific industry segments like “Natural Gas Processing”, “Oil Refining” and “Oil & Gas.”
Conceptual Flare Load Study
2009 Germany Refining
Engineering
Conceptual dynamic simulation study to determine the flare load of a crude unit during a general power failure and a water breakthrough. The conceptual dynamic study approach allows for reduced detail and, therefore, reduced cost, while maintaining the possibility to consider dynamic phenomena in the analysis.
Vessel Separators Controllability Study Using HYSYS
2010 Spain Oil & Gas
Engineering
Dynamic simulation studies for a production separator system in order to check and confirm their operability under a number of defined procedural and upset conditions of the producing facilities.
2008 TRAINING UPDATE

In 2008, Inprocess carried out a substantial number of in-house and public training courses, teaching more than 240 engineers at different levels. Inprocess introduced four new training courses, e.g. the new training course that covers the application of process simulation to model LNG processes. In addition to the new training courses, Inprocess also updated all previously developed material to include the feedback that we received from our attendees
Dynamic Flare Load Study
2007-2008 Italy Refining
Engineering
Dynamic Simulation Project for Foster Wheeler Italy. Inprocess developed a number of dynamic models for different distillation columns to study the flare behaviour for general power failure. The intention was to study the simultaneity of the flare load peaks.
This study was presented at the 2008 AspenTech UGM.
Dynamic Compressor Study
2010 Spain Oil & Gas
Engineering
Dynamic simulation compressor study for a new centrifugal compressor line integrated into an existing reciprocating compressor train. The study focuses on the design of the new equipment as well as on the operability and controllability of the complete compression system.
